Michael V. Martini is the Director-National Sales for DRG International, Inc. located in Mountainside, New Jersey. Mr. Martini is responsible for the sales operations in the United States of America and Canada.
Before joining DRG International, Mr. Martini spent over 12 years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry as a District Sales Manager in the North Eastern United States.
Most recently, Mr. Martini oversaw the promotional and sales efforts of Takeda Pharmaceuticals product portfolio in Northern New Jersey. While there, he hired, trained and developed his sales teams to contribute by fostering an environment of engagement through accountability for sales performance and recognition of success. His accomplishments include back-to-back Silver Sales Performance Area Awards in 2008 and 2009.
Previous to that, Michael worked at Icos Corporation Inc., where he was responsible for managing the sales and budget operations in New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. His tasks included forecasting priority goals and developing drivers of success for critical initiatives. He received the company’s highest National Sales Honor by winning the 2005 Emerald Award.
Mr. Martini was also an integral sales leader at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, where he was in charge of the Geigy division’s sales portfolio on Long Island. His main responsibility was driving his team’s sales results and developing quarterly district business plans to exceed company performance. His National Sales Awards include 4 consecutive President’s Club Titles (2000-03) and the Prestigious International Sales Excellence Award in 2001.
Earlier in his career, Michael spent 5 successful years of B2B sales as a Major Account Executive in New York City working for Sprint PCS and Nextlink Communications where he serviced Fortune 500 companies. During his tenure he was recognized numerous times for his ability to accept ever-increasing job responsibilities and for achieving consistent and successful sales results.
Mr. Martini has a strong commitment and proven ability to strategically plan and drive sales results, lead and motivate others, give clear direction to create accountability, set high expectations for the achievement of goals and build/coach/develop winning sales teams to drive company growth.
Michael received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Minor in Marketing from West Chester University (1993) in Pennsylvania, USA.
